There is no way President Goodluck Jonathan could grant amnesty to former Delta State governor, Jame Ibori who is currently serving jail term in British prison for massive money laundry and looting of government treasury while in office as governor.
But with the newly signed prisoners swap deal with British government yesterday, Nigerian should expect another abracadabra presidential amnesty that will see James Ibori a free man as soon as he is brought back to complete his jail term in Nigeria.
Like DSP Alamieyeseigha, the former boss of President Goodluck Jonathan in the Bayelsa State House, who was granted presidential amnesty amidst many corrupt charges both home and abroad, Ibori’s amnesty is underway.
James Ibori was accused of stealing N39,737,500,000 from the Nigerian public purse, had on February 27, pleaded guilty to ten counts of money laundering and conspiracy to defraud at Southwark Crown Court, London. He was sentenced to 13 years by Southwark Crown Court for his crimes on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.
President Goodluck Jonathan has been embroiled with the allegations of encouraging corrupt practices considering his body languages to some corrupt public officers; Stella Oduah saga, is the latest.
Desperate President Goodluck is leaving no stone unturned to actualize 2015 ambition.
