President Goodluck Jonathan will on Sunday 4 May 2014 at 7p.m. speak on
current national issues and respond to questions from the public on the
Presidential Media Chat on national radio and television.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati,
disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday.
“The new edition of the presidential media chat would be broadcast live on
the network services of the NTA, the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN)
and the Voice of Nigeria (VON),” Abati said.
He said the President would respond to questions from a panel of journalists
and media executives on current national issues and developments.
The President’s spokesman said members of the public who have particular
issues they would like President Jonathan to address were also invited to take
part.
He said they were expected to send their questions via twitter to
“@mediachatng”.
Abati assured that the President would respond to the most significant
questions received before or during the programme.
He enjoined other radio and television stations in the country to hook up to
NTA and FRCN to relay the programme to their listeners and viewers.
