Today, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) barred Gambia from all African competitions for two years because of
age cheating, in effect it means the West African country forfeits a 2015 Cup of Nations
qualifier against the Seychelles scheduled for mid-May.
CAF said Gambia fielded five over-age footballers during an African youth
championship victory in Liberia last month.
The senior national team, known as the Scorpions, are ranked 40 in Africa and
131 in the world.
