Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole has offered automatic employment and donated two million naira (N2,000,000) to the widow  he chastised while on an inspection tour of the state.  it's a good act and shows that Governor is indeed truly sorry, but let me make few observations after the cut....

Was the manner of speech of the Governor towards the widow harsh and hurtful? Yes
Was the Governor right to condemn and chastise the widow for breaking the law? Yes
Was the Widow right in breaking the Law? No
Did Nigerians criticize the Governor constructively? No!

Punch Newspaper reports that Oshiomhole had invited the widow to ‘personally apologise to her over his uncomplimentary remark that generated a backlash from Nigerians on social media in the last few days. See his words on quote after the cut....

I have also realised that even in anger, one could still achieve the same result that he set out to without provocative outburst. I apologise from the bottom of my heart, but sometimes you get angry when people compromise your efforts’ .

Certain females may want to  replicate and capitalize  this acts...I just hope we wont have females acting as widows or widows in the actual sense breaking the law to get benefits. Na talk I talk o, anything fit happen, remember the Stowaway Boy and how certain boys replicated the act to get benefits and scholarship as well.
