1. Mario Balotelli
Premier League Club: Manchester City
All hail Mario Balotelli, a great player and very controversial on and off pitch. He has a bad boy reputation sewn into his veins. His first big controversial moment was in Manchester United's embarrassing 6-1 defeat to rivals Manchester City. They derby was intensified after Balotelli celebrated scoring the first goal of the game by lifting up his shirt to reveal another shirt underneath it with the words 'WHY ALWAYS ME?' written across the front.
Then later that season in a key title decider with Tottenham Hotspur, Balotelli appeared to stamp on Scott Parker's head enraging Spurs fans as he went on to score the winning penalty...boom! and that ruined Tottenham's title bid. He went back to Milan in January 2013 and of course, he is still an effective player and a bad ass nigga to watch out for on pitch.
2. Luis Suarez
Premier League Club: Liverpool
The Uruguayan got wonderful skills, pace and quality and with it comes stupidity and silly acts......like his cannibalistic super instinct and love for biting human flesh.
It is on record that he has bitten a PSV player with Ajax and was banned seven matches, again he bit Branislav Ivanovic against Chelsea at Anfield last season and has just completed a 12 match ban.
With Uruguay, in the 2010 World Cup he stopped a ball with his hand to deny Ghana a certain goal to take them through to the semi-finals which was so controversial. He allegedly racially abused Patrice Evra and was given an eight match ban in December 2011 after refusing to shake Evra's hand in the reverse fixture that season. Despite being a wonderfully gifted player, and scoring 30 goals in all competitions for Liverpool last season, controversy seems to have follow him about.
3.
Eric Cantona
Premier League Club: Manchester United
He can be best described as a living legend and great star of Manchester United , most soccer commentators share this point of Cantona been the greatest impact of any overseas player in the Premier League, though someone would say he is so arrogant and more like a mafia in locker room... well, wouldn't say so.
Leeds despised him with a passion after he ditched them for their bitter rivals across the Pennines, in wicked mischief and anger he spat at a Cantona Leeds fan at Elland Road. I found that really funny and it was epic. lol!
Looking for a kung fu expert? you got Eric Cantona on the list, he angrily gave a flying kung fu kick on a Crystal Palace fan which increased his notoriety and saw him banned for nine months. Cantona revelled as a figure of hate, leading United to four. Dude got a temper!
4. Ashley Cole
Premier League Clubs: Arsenal, Chelsea
I love this dude. I do! a fantastic player, quiet, calm, collected, a very strong full back and he got great diving skills. Chelsea fans you know what am talking about. lol!
He has earned 100th England cap, and captaining his country on numerous occasions. He has a really bad reputation for diving and which made him unpopular and controversial. From Arsenal to Chelsea.....he just loves to dive. Well, I find it cool, so long as he delivers. and yes! am a Chelsea fan. *wink*
How about his unpopular and controversial quote of feeling "physically sick" at the thought of being offered 'only' £55k-a-week which got the fans mad and crimson red. He arrogantly turned his back on Mike Riley, who was trying to book him for a high tackle against Spurs and got the hammer of Football Establishment after. To top it up he angered fans across the globe when he tweeted "FA a bunch of tw*ts'" in October 2012.
Premier League Clubs: Leeds, Newcastle, West Ham
While at former club, Charlton, he was always in the news for all the wrong reason though a really good player, at Charlton, he and a teammate tested positive for cannabis. In Leeds, Bowyer was accused of an alleged racist incident at a McDonalds joint. Then, he and teammate Jonathan Woodgate were charged after an incident outside a Leeds nightclub which led to two trials which he was cleared, he left Leeds after an argument over his discipline.
How about that disgraceful mid match fight with a teammate Kieron Dyer which earned him a six-game ban and he was convicted by the police for using threatening behaviour. He got an amazing love for yellow and red cards. Let's do a count.... he got 80 yellow cards and five red in the Premier League.
