Buhari, Not Welcome!!: Benue People Unhappy With You Mr President – Ex-Governor










Gosh!! No warm welcome indeed! The pictures don't lie.


Visiting President Muhammadu Buhari had a taste of the peoples’ feelings towards him in Benue State today when he was told pointblank that the people of the state were not happy with him.
Former governor of the state and now a senator George Akume conveyed his peoples bitterness against the president at a town hall meeting the president had with the communities.
Akume expressed the anger of the Tivs with the president over the way and manner he handled herdsmen killings in the state.
Hear Akume speak: “Your Excellency, you could recall that Senator David Mark was Senate President while Suswam was the Chief Security of the State, yet the Tiv people voted for you in 2015.
“We have no federal project in Benue State, Ortom does not make law, Benue People made the law, JS Tarka fought for the unity of our country Nigeria, Mr. President the Tiv people are not happy about your reaction towards the killing of Tiv farmers by Fulani herdsmen.”
To show their displeasure with Buhari, the Benue people populated mostly by Tivs refused to welcome the president to their state with cheers as depicted by these pictures.

10 Burnt To Death In Lagos Tanker Fire

      No fewer than 10 people were roasted as a tanker laden with petrol went up in flames yesterday at Berger Suya junction, Apapa, Lagos.   Also, several buildings, eight vehicles, and over 200 locked-up shops including a commercial bank in the area were razed.   The fire which started at about 10:30pm on Tuesday and raged till 3:00am yesterday was said to have been caused by a tanker laden with 33,000 liters of petrol which lost control as it was about to negotiate a sharp bend and exploded close to Suya spots in the area.   Several passengers in two commercial buses, by-standers, two Hausa suya vendors including the driver of the truck and the conductor were burnt beyound recognition as rescue workers were seen picking bones of parts of human beings into body bag.     Source: Vanguard
