Church Drama!: Redeemed Suspends Pastor Over Pasuma, Says Pastor Toyin Ogundipe Acted On His Own

Pastor Toyin Ogundipe of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lagos Province 20, Lagos Island Family has been suspended by the mission over his attempt to invite the popular fuji artiste, Wasiu Pasuma, along with Tope Alabi, Pastor Keji Hamilton and a former band leader of Fela Anikulapo’s Egypt 80 Band, Kereke Jike into his parish for a programme. The social media was awash with critics and fans over the publicity flier for the said programme slated between Friday, October 23, 2015 and Sunday, October 25, 2015, to be held at Martins Street, opposite Oluwole Car Park, in Mushin, Lagos. According to a report on Encomium magazine, the attention of The Redeemed Christian Church of God authority was drawn to the controversial outreach, which warranted summon of the Pastor in charge of RCCG Lagos Province 20, who was directed to take appropriate action immediate.
